Was anyone else intrigued by the reports on weather conditions the day he went missing from the Clipper Eric? I read that the seas were relatively calm with light winds, which makes the situation even more puzzling to me. It's as if he just vanished into thin air. Given that he was 60 miles north of St. Matthew Island, it makes me wonder about potential currents in that area. Could they have played a role in why the search had no luck? It’s frustrating when conditions seem favorable and yet someone can just disappear. Thoughts?
Has anyone been following the case of the missing crew member from the F/V Clipper Eric? I'm curious about the weather conditions around St. Matthew Island on September 27, 2018. Given how remote and unpredictable that area can be, I wonder if severe weather played a role in hampering search efforts. I read somewhere that strong winds and waves can significantly affect visibility and the ability to conduct a thorough search. If anyone has more information about the weather that day or similar challenges faced in other cases, I'd love to hear about it!
Has anyone looked into weather conditions on the day he went missing from the F/V Clipper Eric? I know the Bering Sea can be incredibly unpredictable. 60 miles north of St. Matthew Island sounds incredibly remote—even minor weather changes could make search efforts challenging. It makes me wonder if rough seas or a sudden storm could have played a role. If anyone has info on the weather that day, it might provide some more context to his disappearance. Keep the discussions coming; every little bit helps!
