I've been following the case of Kitara Myatt and just wanted to express how deeply sorry I feel for her family and friends. It's clear she was someone who touched a lot of lives with her involvement in so many activities at Beekmantown Central School and her church. It's such a tragic loss for the community.
What puzzles me is how someone so involved and seemingly full of life could be struggling so much without those around her realizing the extent of her pain. This reminds me of how important it is for us all to watch out for signs and really listen to people when they reach out, even if it's subtle. Does anyone know if there were any initiatives or support systems put in place at her school or church to help students cope with such a devastating event? It could really help other communities learn from this and perhaps prevent similar tragedies. Keeping Kitara and her loved ones in my thoughts.
I was just reading about Kitara Myatt’s case again and couldn’t stop thinking about how tight-knit communities like West Chazy rally together in times of loss. It’s incredible to see the volunteer fire departments and local agencies drop everything to search for her. I imagine it must have been devastating for everyone involved when the search didn’t end as they had hoped. My thoughts are with Kitara’s family, friends, and all those who knew her. It’s important we keep talking about mental health and offering support in our communities.
I've been thinking a lot about Kitara's involvement in the Model UN at Beekmantown Central. It's just so telling of her passion for understanding and engaging with the world. Being part of such a program must have required a lot of dedication and an interest in global issues, which makes her loss all the more poignant. Many of us know that being active in something like Model UN often sparks a desire to make a difference. It's heartwarming to know how invested Kitara was in her activities and how much potential she had to contribute positively to the world around her. Her passion and commitment to what she loved will not be forgotten by those who had the privilege to interact with her. Sending love to her friends and family as they continue to navigate this difficult time.
