I’ve been thinking a lot about the bravery it must’ve taken for the witnesses to come forward in Alton Carelock Jr.'s case. It’s easy to forget that without them stepping up, justice might not have been served. It takes immense courage to testify, especially in such a senseless and violent act. My heart goes out to the Carelock family for their loss, and I also feel for the people who had to relive that tragic day during the trial. I genuinely hope that the sentence helps them find a little bit of peace amidst all the turmoil. I'd love to hear thoughts on how communities can support witnesses in violent crime cases like this one.
