I've been following the DiNapoli case closely and can't stop thinking about Cheryl's younger brother and what he went through that night. I can't imagine the emotional and physical turmoil he faced while trying to protect his sister. It's heart-wrenching to think he witnessed such horror and still had the strength to intervene—not once, but twice. His bravery during such a traumatic event is incredible, but I hope he's receiving the support he needs to heal from this tragedy. It's a reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence, not only for the victim but also for the family members who are left to pick up the pieces. My thoughts are with him and all who loved Cheryl.
