I can't stop thinking about the community's response after this tragedy. One aspect that really struck me was how quickly people came together to support Mary Beth and Erik's children after losing their parents and grandparents in one terrible day. Sometimes, amidst the shock and heartbreak, it's easy to overlook how much these kids need our collective care and attention now and in the future. From everything I've read, there was a huge outpouring of support—both emotional and financial—for the kids, which is truly touching. Various funds and programs were set up almost immediately, aiming to provide them with some semblance of stability in the most unstable time of their lives. It says a lot about the kindness of the community that they rallied around these children when they needed it the most. If anyone has updates on how the funds are being managed or other ways we can continue to help, please share. It's vital that we don't just move on too quickly and remember there are still four young lives forever changed by this tragedy. My heart goes out to them, and I hope we can keep supporting them in the times to come.
