Does anyone remember Tekola's community gathering after his murder? I recently came across a mention of it and would love more details. It seems like so many people came together to honor him, which speaks volumes about the kind of person he was. I've heard that his fellow taxi drivers organized a memorial ride, and members of the Ethiopian community in Maryland held a service to celebrate his life and contributions. It's clear he was deeply valued in his community. My thoughts are with his family and friends who lost such a vibrant and dedicated soul. If anyone can share their memories or experiences from those events, it would help us remember the impact Tekola had on everyone around him.
