I’ve been thinking a lot about Ty'Kerria “Tootie” Dawson and how the community has come together to remember her. It's hard to understand how a young life so full of potential was cut short. I didn't know her personally, but hearing about her involvement with the Robert W. Johnson Community Center really speaks volumes about her character. From what I've gathered, she was someone who truly cared about her community, giving back as a counselor after being a participant herself. It's incredibly touching to see the community rally behind her family and friends during such a difficult time. The memorial fund established in her name is a beautiful way to keep her spirit alive and support causes she cared about. It seems like Ty'Kerria made a real difference, and that legacy is something nobody can ever take away. It's just so senseless and tragic to think that her life was taken in such a cold manner. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight, everyone.
