Samiya Barkley, a 15-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was reported missing on September 20, 2024. She disappeared while swimming near the lifeguard station at Jacksonville Beach. Witnesses reported seeing her caught in a rip current during the afternoon, which led to an immediate search effort.
