Bonnie Elzora Brashers, aged 50, was last seen on September 16, 1963, at her residence in Freedom, California, a small town near Watsonville. She had spoken with one of her daughters earlier that morning, but by the time her children returned from school, she was missing. Her husband, Nathaniel Brashers, claimed she had simply walked down the road and never returned.
