Gladys Conklin, aged 79, was last seen on January 9, 1983, in San Lorenzo, California. She suffered from Alzheimer's disease and had a history of wandering away from home. On the day of her disappearance, her husband, Irving Conklin, reported that she likely left between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. while he was napping.
