Standing at 5'11" and weighing approximately 200 pounds, he had gray or partially gray hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was known to lead a transient lifestyle. During an encounter with Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies in October 2017, he expressed a desire to be left alone and indicated his intention to continue living transiently . This interaction was the last confirmed contact with Humpal-Lamagna.
Classification and Investigation Efforts
Following his disappearance, Humpal-Lamagna's case was classified as a voluntary missing person . Despite this classification, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit has continued to seek public assistance in locating him.
