Kaylee Mae Nelson-Jerry, a vibrant 21-year-old Native American woman from Auburn, Washington, was known for her love of gymnastics, journaling, church, and singing. Deeply connected to her family and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe’s community, Kaylee's life took a tragic turn following a devastating car accident. Though she graduated from high school, the aftermath of the accident left her vulnerable. Upon receiving her per capita trust fund, her family believes she became a target for individuals who exploit Native youth for financial gain .
The Disappearance
In late June or early July of 2019, Kaylee vanished without a trace. The Auburn Police Department noted that it was unusual for her to be out of contact for such an extended period.
