On the morning of February 26, 2012, 42-year-old Benjamin Gomez Sagun Jr. left his Cape Saint Claire, Maryland, home around 6:30 a.m., intending to attend church services at 710 Ridgely Avenue in Annapolis. He informed his mother of his plans, but he never arrived at the church. Later that day, his mother discovered a note he had left behind, stating, "I'm going to the father who loves me," which raised immediate concerns about his well-being.
When Benjamin failed to return home and did not attend church, his mother reported him missing to the Anne Arundel County Police Department at approximately 6:00 p.m. that evening. Authorities quickly initiated a search, noting that Benjamin was last seen driving his blue 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with Maryland license plate 21L939. Despite efforts, neither Benjamin nor his vehicle has been located since that day.
Benjamin was described as a white male, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was known to frequent the Broadneck Library in Annapolis, suggesting he had established routines and places he visited regularly. Friends and family described him as a quiet individual who kept to himself, making his sudden disappearance all the more perplexing.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department has continued to investigate Benjamin's disappearance, classifying it as an endangered missing person case. They have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to locating Benjamin or understanding the circumstances of his disappearance. Detectives have emphasized that any detail, no matter how minor it may seem, could be crucial to the investigation. ...Read More
