Bradley Chace Stracener, born on July 29, 1989, in Leesville, Louisiana, was known for his deep connection to the outdoors and his community. As a member of the Four Winds Tribe in the Louisiana Cherokee Confederacy, Bradley embraced his Native American heritage and often spent extended periods living in the woods, a testament to his survival skills and love for nature. Friends and family described him as a woodsman who found solace in the wilderness, making his sudden disappearance all the more perplexing .
On October 30, 2019, Bradley left the apartment he shared with a roommate around 1:45 p.m. to return a car to his girlfriend, who lived approximately 10 to 12 miles away. This routine errand took a mysterious turn when he never arrived at his destination. The following morning, at 6:30 a.m., the car he was driving—a 2014 silver Ford Focus—was found abandoned near a steel gate on Bundick's Road in the Sandy Hill area, about two miles from where he was last seen. The vehicle was unlocked, the keys were on the passenger seat, and there were no signs of a struggle .
The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office promptly initiated an investigation into Bradley's disappearance. Multiple searches were conducted in the Sandy Hill area, utilizing specially trained K-9 units from across the country. Despite these extensive efforts, no clues regarding his whereabouts were uncovered. Authorities interviewed numerous individuals and executed several search warrants, but the case remained at a standstill .
Bradley's mother, Toni, became a fervent advocate in the search for her son. She took on the role of Louisiana Director for the Community United Effort (CUE) Center for Missing Persons. In May 2022, CUE organized a search in the Sandy Hill area with the assistance of cadaver dogs, yet the search yielded no new information. Toni's unwavering commitment highlights the emotional toll and relentless pursuit families endure when a loved one goes missing ....Read More
