On May 8, 1968, 20-year-old Winnefred Jeanette Freeman was last seen in Portland, Oregon. Standing at 5'4" and weighing approximately 115 pounds, Winnefred was an African-American woman with black hair and brown eyes. That day, she was observed entering her 1964 blue and white Chevrolet with a heavyset, middle-aged man. Four days later, her car was found abandoned in Portland, but there was no sign of Winnefred.
Limited Information and Delayed Reporting
Despite the concerning circumstances, details about Winnefred's disappearance are scarce. Notably, her case was not entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System until February 11, 2020, over five decades later.
