A Sudden Disappearance
Roger Jacob LeMieux, a 35-year-old member of the Ho-Chunk Indian Nation, was last seen in The Dalles, Oregon, on May 29, 1999. Standing at 5'11" and weighing between 230 and 240 pounds, Roger had black hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive large scar on his forearm from a coil stove burn . Despite his physical characteristics being well-documented, his disappearance remains shrouded in mystery, with few details available about the circumstances leading up to that day.
The Initial Investigation
Following Roger's disappearance, the case was taken up by the Dalles Police Department. Over time, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services Missing and Murdered Unit also became involved, seeking public assistance for any information regarding Roger's whereabouts .
