On May 16, 2020, Gerard "Gerry" Joseph Flango Jr., a 48-year-old resident of Boggs Township in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, was last seen on surveillance footage at the Family Dollar store on Old Town Road in Clearfield. He appeared calm and alone, wearing a camo ball cap, black T-shirt, and blue jeans. Two days later, on May 18, he was again captured on security footage at the same store, this time around 7:12 PM. In both instances, there was no indication of distress or urgency in his demeanor.
Flango's sudden disappearance raised immediate concerns among family and friends. Known to be in regular contact with his loved ones, the absence of communication was alarming. Adding to the mystery, his motorcycle remained untouched at his residence, and there was no note or indication of his plans to leave. Authorities noted that his behavior prior to vanishing was normal, making his disappearance all the more perplexing.
By early June 2020, the Pennsylvania State Police had classified Flango's case as "missing and endangered." The lack of any activity on his cell phone since May 19 further deepened concerns. Investigators highlighted that Flango was known to frequent areas in Ocean City, Maryland, as well as locations in Virginia and Ohio. He was also known to use methamphetamine, a detail that, while sensitive, was considered relevant to the investigation.
At the time of his disappearance, Flango was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 220 pounds. He had short brown hair, blue eyes, and a mustache, with the possibility of a goatee. Notably, he had tribal sleeve tattoos on both arms. These distinctive features were shared widely in hopes of aiding identification. ...Read More
