A Tragic Discovery
On the morning of February 8, 2001, the San Diego Police Department received an anonymous 911 call from a man at a restaurant on Adams Avenue. The caller reported finding his friend, 34-year-old William Scott Stormo, dead in his apartment at 2930 Broadway Street, with the door left open. Responding officers arrived to a grim scene: Stormo's lifeless body lay on the living room floor, evidence of a violent struggle surrounding him. The apartment showed signs of ransacking, and numerous personal items were missing, indicating a possible robbery turned fatal.
A Life Cut Short
Born on January 30, 1967, in Hood River, Oregon, Stormo was known for his friendly and sociable nature. He frequently entertained guests at his apartment, making his home a hub for friends and acquaintances.
