The Final Hours
On the afternoon of July 20, 1986, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Stubbs visited his next-door neighbor. During this brief encounter, he mentioned that he had a couple of friends over and was heading out to purchase beer for his guests. The neighbor noted that after this visit, while they did not see Stubbs again, they could hear the sounds of socializing emanating from his apartment.
