On August 15, 2004, the life of 25-year-old Israeli national Ehud Raich was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. Having resided in the city for eight months, Raich worked diligently as a locksmith, a profession that brought him into various communities across the capital. The Fateful Day
On that Sunday, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Raich responded to a service call in the 4600 block of G Street, SE. The request came from a burglary victim whose car keys had been stolen, necessitating immediate assistance. While Raich was diligently working on the lock, an unidentified assailant approached him and, without warning, shot him in the neck.
