Known for their warm personalities and strong community ties, the couple led a peaceful life on their rural property. Terry, a Navy veteran and avid outdoorsman, worked as a tree trimmer for Asplundh, while Darleen, described as kind and soft-spoken, had a passion for garage sales and cooking.
The Gruesome Discovery
On the morning of October 21, 2005, the Andersons' 20-year-old daughter, Amanda, arrived at the family home to pick up her father for work. Upon entering the residence, she discovered her mother, Darleen, deceased on the living room couch, a bowl of popcorn beside her.
