A Promising Young Life Interrupted
On December 2, 2005, the city of Syracuse, New York, was forever changed by the sudden disappearance of 19-year-old Larry Darnell Stackhouse Jr. Known affectionately as "Lil Larry" or "L-Stack," Larry was a young man with aspirations and responsibilities. He was employed at a nursing home, diligently working towards obtaining his General Educational Development (GED) certificate, and was a devoted father to his young daughter. His parents, Larry Sr. and Lorraine Stackhouse, described him as a well-behaved individual who aimed to provide a better future for his child.
The Evening of Disappearance
The events leading up to Larry's disappearance began between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. on that fateful December evening. He left his family's residence in the 100 block of Lynn Circle to attend a basketball game at Christian Brothers Academy in DeWitt, accompanied by a friend he had known since elementary school.
