Initial Disappearance

On September 4, 2024, 26-year-old Shawn Odell was reported missing in Kodak, Tennessee. The Sevier County Sheriff's Office announced that Odell was last seen that Wednesday morning in the Kodak area. At the time of the initial report, no detailed description of Odell's clothing or condition was released. Authorities sought help from the public, asking anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Graham Brantley at the Sheriff's Office.

Discovery of the Body

On September 9, 2024, officials with the Sevierville Police Department announced the passing of 26-year-old Shawn Odell. Authorities in Sevier County had been looking for Odell, who was reportedly last seen in Kodak the previous Wednesday morning.
