A Chilling January Night
In the early hours of January 23, 2025, 35-year-old Cayla Nickles vanished from her residence on Cash Hollow Road in Johnson City, Tennessee. Witnesses reported seeing her step outside into the frigid night, wearing only black and white pajama pants, without shoes or a jacket. It was the coldest night of the winter, intensifying concerns for her well-being. After she failed to return, her roommates searched for her and, after several hours, contacted authorities to report her missing.
Intensive Search Efforts
The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) launched an extensive search operation to locate Cayla. Utilizing grid searches, drones, and canine units, they scoured the wooded areas surrounding her home. Investigators also reached out to her friends and frequented locations, but these efforts yielded no substantial leads.
