Gary Lack: A Life Rooted in Family and Hard Work
Born on August 29, 1945, in Osage, Iowa, Gary was the son of Harold and Mildred (Kinney) Lack. He attended grade school in Orchard and graduated from Osage High School in 1963, where he participated in football and wrestling. Gary briefly attended the University of Northern Iowa before embarking on a career that included nearly two decades at the Lehigh Portland Cement Company in Mason City. In 1979, he married Veronica M. Naumann, and together they raised six children, instilling in them the values of education and community involvement.
