Despite extensive search efforts, Simmons vanished without a trace, leaving behind a legacy of unanswered questions that persist to this day.
Early Life and Career
Born on August 11, 1915, in Payson, Utah, Lynn Simmons was the eldest of three children to Ezra Lee Simmons and Mary Veneta Seabury Simmons. The family later relocated to Salt Lake City, where Lynn attended East High School, graduating in 1933. He pursued higher education at Westminster College and briefly at the University of Utah, showcasing his athleticism in basketball, tennis, and track. With the onset of the Great Depression, Lynn left academia to support his family, eventually securing a position with the U.S. General Land Office as a surveyor.
