On May 3, 1992, a twin-engine Cessna 340, tail number N69469, departed from Yakutat, Alaska, en route to Anchorage. Aboard the aircraft were five men: Timothy Raymond Thornton, Jeffrey Roth, Kent Roth, Brian Barber, and Scott Roth. The flight was expected to be uneventful, with the last communication to FAA air-traffic controllers indicating the plane was at 12,000 feet, navigating on instruments towards Anchorage. However, the aircraft never arrived at its destination, and no trace of it or its occupants has been found since.
