On February 18, 1992, the quiet neighborhood of Meadowcrest Drive in Fort Worth, Texas, was shaken by a horrifying discovery. Nineteen-year-old Ginger Ross was found dead in the living room of her residence at 7405 Meadowcrest. She had been shot multiple times, and there were no signs of forced entry, suggesting that she may have known her assailant. Ginger lived in the home with a relative, who was not present at the time of the murder. The lack of immediate leads left investigators with a daunting task.
The Initial Investigation
