Bryan Michael Hamel was a 35-year-old Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, with a distinguished 16-year career. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on October 14, 1982, he graduated from Oxford High School in 2000, excelling in the Naval Junior ROTC program, particularly in drill team and marksmanship. His naval service took him across the globe, including postings in Bahrain, Spain, and various U.S. states. At the time of his disappearance, he was stationed at Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida, where he served as the president of the Chief's Mess .
The Day of Disappearance
On February 21, 2018, Bryan drove to the French King Bridge in Erving, Massachusetts, which spans the Connecticut River. Surveillance footage captured him parking his vehicle and jumping over the rail.
