First Brush with Violence
In 2002, Floyd's life took a harrowing turn. While making a routine stop to use a pay phone, he was brutally attacked and shot 23 times. This vicious assault led to the amputation of one of his legs and left him with only 50% functionality in one arm. Despite the severity of the attack, no clear motive was identified, and the assailants remained at large.
