A Tragic Afternoon in Jacksonville
On the afternoon of December 20, 2017, the Camelot Gardens Apartments on Jacksonville's Westside became the scene of a devastating crime. At approximately 3:30 p.m., 28-year-old Deangelo Dominique Tillie was fatally shot inside his apartment. The assailants entered his unit and opened fire, leaving Tillie dead in his living room. His 10-year-old daughter, visiting to spend the holidays with her father, was in a nearby bedroom during the horrific incident. Emerging after the gunfire ceased, she was confronted with the unimaginable sight of her father's lifeless body.
A Family's Unbearable Loss
The impact of Deangelo's murder reverberated through his family. His aunt, Stephanie Tillie, expressed profound disbelief and sorrow, stating, "For someone to come along and do such a harsh thing to him is unbelievable."
