A Violent Afternoon in Northeast D.C.
On Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at approximately 1:15 PM, the tranquility of the 210 block of 53rd Street NE in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Residents were startled to learn that two individuals, 36-year-old Herman Dorsey and 26-year-old Tiffane Jefferson, had been fatally shot. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded swiftly to the scene, but despite their efforts, the perpetrator(s) remained unidentified.
