On February 7, 2013, tragedy struck the home of Destiny Renee Pittman, a 21-year-old Caucasian female residing in Kokomo, Indiana. That evening, emergency responders were dispatched to her residence on James Drive after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Pittman had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. She was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving her family and the local community seeking answers for a crime that would remain unsolved for nearly a decade.
