On the morning of February 2, 2008, 33-year-old white female Carrie Hudek Chiuso of Frankfort, Illinois, was tragically killed during a mass shooting at a Lane Bryant clothing store in the Brookside Marketplace of Tinley Park, Illinois. Carrie, a dedicated high school counselor at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, was known for her vibrant personality and commitment to helping teens. She was married to Anthony Chiuso and was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.
