On April 18, 2009, Andre Jackson, a 29-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred while Jackson was walking when an unidentified assailant approached and opened fire, striking him in the chest. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
