Kirklinn J. Fowlkes, aged 19, was found dead on July 23, 2010, in Chicago's Chicago Lawn neighborhood. His body was discovered after firefighters responded to a garage fire in the 6100 block of South Richmond Street around 6:25 a.m. The fire, which initially appeared to be a standard emergency, quickly turned into a crime scene after it was determined that Kirklinn had suffered blunt head trauma before his body was burned.
