On December 20, 2010, Jerome Michaels, aged 39, was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The homicide took place in the Englewood neighborhood, a part of the city that has struggled with high rates of gun violence and other forms of crime. Michaels was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after authorities arrived.
