Scott Butvilas

On July 12, 2011, Scott Butvilas, a 40-year-old man, was found severely beaten in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue in Chicago. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on July 5, and Butvilas succumbed to his injuries a week later, on July 12. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office determined that his death resulted from multiple injuries sustained during the assault, and his death was ruled a homicide.
