Loren Flensborg, a 75-year-old man from Chicago, was found dead in his home on April 7, 2017, under tragic circumstances. Initially reported as having perished in a house fire, the subsequent investigation revealed a far more sinister cause of death. The Cook County Medical Examiner determined that Flensborg had died from multiple sharp-force injuries. His death was thus reclassified as a homicide.
