Adrian Cruz, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot on March 17, 2012, in Chicago during a weekend marred by gun violence. Cruz was one of many victims in a series of shootings that spanned the city, with at least 10 people killed and dozens injured over the weekend. He was shot during a drive-by attack on the 5900 block of South Fairfield Avenue, one of the deadliest incidents that weekend.
