Melvin Jacobs, a 23-year-old man, was fatally shot on May 19, 2012, in Chicago. The incident took place in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side of the city. Jacobs was one of five individuals shot during a particularly violent weekend, and he succumbed to his wounds later.
