Shemara Fitzpatrick, aged 23, was tragically killed on December 1, 2012, in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Fulton Street while she was with her boyfriend, David Freeman. As they were walking, a man stepped out of a car and opened fire, resulting in Shemara being fatally shot and Freeman sustaining serious injuries.
