On January 10, 2013, Tyron E. Solsberry, a 39-year-old resident of Chicago, was shot and killed in the South Shore neighborhood. The incident occurred around 6:13 p.m. on the 2000 block of East 71st Street near Jeffrey Boulevard. Another individual, a 49-year-old man, was also injured during the shooting but survived.
