Geremy Hoover, a 24-year-old male from Chicago, was killed during a violent robbery on September 22, 2013, and succumbed to his injuries four days later, on September 26. The incident occurred in Chicago's Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Hoover, who was walking with a friend, was approached by an armed individual who initially asked to borrow his cell phone.
