Michael Walker, age 35, was shot and killed on November 14, 2013, in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood. The incident occurred during the early morning hours, and Walker was found with gunshot wounds in the East Chatham area, which has experienced periodic episodes of gun violence. Walker's homicide added to the rising toll of shootings that were plaguing the South Side during this time.
