Raymond Murray, 25, was shot and killed in front of his home on October 2, 2014, in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. He was returning home from his job as a certified armed security guard at a Chicago Housing Authority complex when the incident occurred. At around 3:30 a.m., a person in a dark-colored car opened fire on Murray in the 7800-block of South Jeffrey Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
