Charlie Weathers, age 24, was shot and killed on May 23, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The homicide took place in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side, an area that has experienced significant issues with gang violence and drug activity. Weathers' death was part of a series of violent incidents connected to the activities of the "Wicked Town" faction of the Traveling Vice Lords street gang, which was heavily involved in drug trafficking and maintaining control over territory in Austin.
