Lynell L Simmons

On June 18, 2015, Lynell L. Simmons, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Chatham neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred in the afternoon, around 3:10 PM, when Simmons was on the 7900 block of South Langley. According to reports, a maroon Ford Astro van pulled up to the scene, and two men exited the vehicle before opening fire. Simmons sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later in the afternoon.
