On a summer evening in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the life of 23-year-old Hispanic male, Joe Soleme Romero, was tragically cut short. On June 6, 2021, first responders were called to the scene of what was initially believed to be a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Coal Avenue. However, upon their arrival, they discovered that Romero was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
