On the evening of May 12, 2022, a distressing scene unfolded behind a Walgreens on Central Avenue NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Officers responded to a call about a male subject bleeding and discovered Jonathan Wacondo, a 44-year-old male, on his back behind the business. He had sustained at least one gunshot wound to his chest. Tragically, Wacondo succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
